My name is Nick Wasilieff (that’s was-sill-eef before you ask), and I’m a Canadian screenwriter who likes making people laugh.
My stories usually include incompetent but lovable schmucks and ne’er do wells stumbling their way into redemption, revenge, or reform.
I’m also a stay-at-home dad with 17 years of experience as a graphic designer and art director.
I’m usually working on features, but I also write shorts to remind myself what it feels like to finish something.
This website has two functions: to showcase my screenwriting and to house my design portfolio for prosperity. I’ve achieved little to nothing as a writer (so far,) but I can’t say the same as a designer!
Fun Facts (if you’re still here):
As a stay-at-home dad to two young boys, I am an (unpaid) negotiator, mediator, problem-solver, manager, and chauffeur.
I don’t think Diehard is a Christmas movie. I KNOW IT IS. Nothing you say will change my mind. Nothing.
I need a full hand to count the number of times I’ve been so close to lightning that thunder happened simultaneously.
When I walk under street lights, they often flicker. The jury’s still out on whether this is related to the previous fact.
My feature script, Cool Cat, uses 188 too many varieties of the F-bomb to qualify for PG-13.
